WebI don't even bother with Windhelm house. Solitude is a mess. It needs containers on the ground floor so you can use the house. And Solitude needs a smelter. Also, the Proudspire kitchen, which you pay 1500 gp for, doesn't even have a pot to cook in. For me, Lakeview is the best home, and Breezehome is the most useful convenient home.
